Recent site responses have lead me to believe that there may have been a trojan horse on blogger. Anyway, if I start to sound even less coherent than usual, its a hacker. Definitely. So here I am on break. I just pulled out my old trumpet only to discover the full range of how badly one can be played. Home is about the same as it always has been. Plenty of food. TV. Mom telling me to remember my jacket and such. It refreshing sometimes the way things stay the same.

Wow, that was about 10 near death experiences so far today. On both legs of my trip we circled in a holding pattern over rough, rough air before we could making loud twisting landings... I contemplated the grimness of the word 'fuselage'. I thought about Bernoulli and Reynolds numbers. This was not a good trip. From my consulting friends I've heard stories of planes spinning out of control on icy landings, cabins filled with smoke and chaos, and I have plenty of stories about 22 hour delays, dubious mechanical failures, etc. But tonight, I was pretty worried.

my right eye started twitching today. how odd. its too small a motion for people to see, but i can feel the muscle tossing about trying to find a comfortable spot... yesterday it snowed, and tonight its supposed to fall to 15. I can't wait to drag all my equipment to the show tonight!

Today I missed seeing Bei Dao.
Actually, I can expand on that. I missed seeing Bei Dao, who I had tangentially found out was visiting Cornell while I was competing in a poetry slam, right before I jetted to Boston and snagged a job, but after I toiled over some unhappy network code. :: I fixed my sister's computer, got an issue of wallpaper, was cold in a t-shirt and talked about the Korean war. What a week. :p
