My role involved the design, user testing, and front-end coding for ~30 screens which made up the core of the application. key constraint(s): bandwidth: -- field sales representatives would often connect through very slow connections, so the screens needed to be optimized for load time. scalability: -- a number of interface design challenges arose around scalability. The system needed to support access/editing of tens of thousands of items. cross-browser support: -- the system needed to be equally usable and effective on both Netscape and IE 4+.
